Manual Handling
General Information
Manual Handling is a task every one of us faces everyday. Whether you work in an office, factory, warehouse or retail environment correct lifting is something you need to take seriously.
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as amended in 2002) apply to a wide range of manual handling activities, including lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling or carrying. The load may be either a box or trolley, or a person or animal.
By the end of the course delegates will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the risks and practical issues involved with manual handling.
