Insulation

Introduction

Advanced Industrial Solutions offers a fresh approach to thermal insulation with advanced engineered solutions that address the individual requirements of each project. The AIS bespoke approach ensures the most efficient application in achieving the customer’s thermal insulation requirements are delivered by tailoring specifications to meet their exact needs. We offer a full service to our clients, we survey, design, supply, manufacture and install.

Please see the tabs above for the various types of insulation we provide. If you would like and help or advice at any time please contact us.

Insulation

One meter of 2” (50mm) of un-insulated pipework operating at just 75°c can cost you £39.54 per year on your fuel bill.

At AIS we offer a comprehensive service of design, manufacture and instillation. All our products and services are Energy Technology Listed (ETL) meaning our clients are entitled to 30% tax relief when using our products and services.

There are many different forms of insulation that can be used on Cryogenic systems:

  • Cellular Glass
  • Phonolic Insulation
  • Insulation Jacketing

Cryogenic

Cryogenic insulation (cold work) is commonly applied to Liquid Nitrogen Gas (LNG) systems. Insulation at this extreme temperature of around-300°c must be correctly designed and installed.

It is imperative these systems are correctly insulated to minimise heat loss and reduce your energy consumption.

Hot Works

Hot Insulation is commonly used on exhaust systems, boilers, steam pipework in Power stations and various other industries. Temperatures from 75°c – 1000°c are categorised as hot work insulation.

It is imperative these systems are correctly insulated to minimise heat loss and reduce your energy consumption.

Acoustic

By law industry is required to reduce noise levels in areas where people are present. For example every home has been designed to reduce noise exposure; insulation plays a vital role in doing this.

Noise is measured in Db and all insulation can reduce noise. At AIS we engineer the very best solution to each project to reduce noise levels by conventional means or with our specially designed Acoustic Insulation Jackets.

It is imperative these systems are correctly insulated to minimise Noise exposure, heat loss and reduce your energy consumption.

Acoustic Insulation Jacket

At AIS our specially engineered Insulation jacketing system can reduce noise levels of up to 30Db. We have recently carried out a large project offshore where we surveyed, designed, manufactured and applied our Acoustic Insulation Jacketing system all via IRATA Rope access techniques.

Our client received a comprehensive service that reduced there cost significantly in man hours and access.

All our products and services are Energy Technology Listed (ETL) meaning our clients are entitled to 30% tax relief when using our products and services.

There are many different forms of insulation that can be used for Acoustic reduction:

  • Insulation / acoustic barrier mat and cladding
  • Insulation jackets
  • Standard type insulation

Personal Protection

Personal Protective insulation (PP) is required to be fitted where temperatures are in excess of 55°c in areas where personnel can be exposed to the heat from pipework or equipment.

It is imperative these systems are correctly insulated to minimise heat loss and reduce your energy consumption.
