Rope Access
Introduction
Rope access provides an efficient and cost effective mode of working at height, enabling work to be carried out effectively and safely in awkward situations & allowing access to tricky areas.
Rope access is less obtrusive and almost always quicker and cheaper than scaffolding or a cherry picker. The time taken to install access systems is minimal and a rope access team can be in and out with the least impact on structure and surroundings, causing the minimum of disruption at a fraction of the cost to the client.
Possessing a depth of knowledge and experience gained through working with market leaders in the global construction, energy and environmental industries, AIS can deliver innovative and cost effective solutions to meet all client requirements.
IRATA
The Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) was formed in the late 1980’s, as the result of an initiative by a number of leading companies involved in industrial rope access techniques, to provide a safe working environment for the industry.
Its formation was supported by the UK Health & Safety Executive. Safety is paramount in our industry. Since its formation IRATA International, as it is now known and its member companies have worked assiduously to improve safety in the industry, produce an industry standard set of guidelines and training requirements and provide a comprehensive assessment and registration process for operatives.
Why Rope Access?
Most access work can be achieved without the expense of scaffolding. Rope access is recognised as a safe, professional alternative to standard scaffold practices. As a comparison, rope access is generally around 70% cheaper than scaffolding, and also saves time on design and construction. We would simply mobilise a team of rope access technical engineers to carry out works with minimum disruption to planning within an agreed budget.

Case Study
We have recently carried out a various large projects offshore where we surveyed, designed, manufactured and applied our Acoustic Insulation Jacketing system all via IRATA Rope access techniques.
Our client received a comprehensive service that reduced there cost significantly in access, man hours, and logistics. We estimate these savings at over £700,000 when compared against conventional Scaffold and Insulation methods.
Innovation, application and service synergy are the fundamental factors in Advanced Industrial Solutions growth to date.
